Just had my FD Exhausts installed today and they exceeded my expectations.

Not only did my shipment make it across the country within a week of order placement, he also took the time to email step by step instructions on making the swap (after I explained my mechanical deficiencies), additionally offering to make himself available by phone should I run into any problems.

After hearing all of the positive comments regarding Darin Fister's exhaust modification, I couldn't help but pull the trigger for my 996. Although I won't be making the swap until this weekend, I just want to mention what a great guy he is to work with.
I explained that I needed my shipment quickly, as I would have someone in town this weekend to help me install - I'm not real good with a wrench. Not only did my shipment make it across the country within a week of order placement, he also took the time to email step by step instructions on making the swap (after I explained my mechanical deficiencies), additionally offering to make himself available by phone should I run into any problems.
Since I appreciate great customer service (which can be hard to come by these days), I felt it appropriate to share with this community what a great experience I had working with FD Motorsports.
For fun, I will post some before and after clips this weekend (assuming the install goes according to plan!).

Darin is a class guy to deal with.
The DIY is fairly straightforward; remove three nuts on either side and wiggle the mufflers out. The hardest part is removing the clamp holding the tips on. For me, that was a real pain in the a$$!!
Enjoy the muffler mods! Darin is one of the best people to work with, period. Hi mod rocks! As for debating about pulling the trigger to do the mod......just do it! You will not regret the decision. The new sound is simply fantastic and you will have a constant smile on your face, once they are installed and fired up.
I'm ready to pull the trigger, but I'm concerned that it might be too loud in some situations, that why I'm debating the porsche pse which can be turned off or the fister which can't be turned down.
I had the same concerns about the noise level but it is really not a concern. If you are driving it easy it's hard to tell a difference from stock. When you jump on the throttle though it sounds great.
Just had my FD Exhausts installed today and they exceeded my expectations. I also installed one if their air filters.
One problem: I know drive about 20mph faster everywhere I go ( they have that affect).
