Read evidence and context

Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello Guys Hope someone can help me out, no P dealer close by. Top is down and when I tried to put it up this morning the side flap on the driver side would not move. The other one moves and opens all the way, as well as the rear deck lifts and moves back, but everything then stops becouse the drivers flap is still closed. Any ideas on where to start, would really like to try and fix myself

POST 2Original post

I don't have any solution, but you might start simple and go from there. Have you put the top in the maintenance position and pulled up the liner to see if anything is obstructing the mechanism or if there is a loose wire? Link to Instructions Also, check the harness on the control box for the top to see if it is tight. Beyond that, I would guess microswitch or actuator.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

It will not open far enough to get it into the maintenance position, if I manually crank it open will I need to have it recalibrated at the dealer
