Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Here is a pic of the car just after purchase. Not a great shot (from my Iphone), but you do get to see it in its former sunny LA home.
99 with 110K miles. Six speed, sport exhaust, sport wheels, and the "upgraded" stereo.
Absolutely love driving it. Coming of an E55, I miss the torque a bit, but you can't compare the driving experience.
The only thing I really don't like is the dreaed 4-spoke steering wheel, which is now starting to rub off in my hands from wear. Gotta get a 3-spoke wheel in Space Grey.
I searched and found several posts about custom leather wheels, but I just want the stock 3-spoke wheel, used is peferable. Anyone know where to get one?
nice car and welcome - seal grey will be a bit tough to find, but the price might be slightly lower than black (more sought after) - Check ebay and just take your time. You should be able to find one with airbag - budget $500 and see how you do - BTW just keep the old 4 spoke and put it back on the car when/if the day come to sell the car...its not worth anything to sell a stock 4 spoke IMO
I am curious what you paid for the car... when you get 10 posts on here you can send PM messages.. If you would, - I would love to find out where values are since that is about the same as my car.
Good luck, have fun, be safe, and keep the wheels turning - its the best thing for it!!
Thanks -- I should have the 10 posts soon, or I could post it here. Your car looks close to mint, whereas mine is in very good condition but not without some wear (seat bolsters, minor scratches, slight paint fading on the rear wing only).
It will look a lot better when I get a nice 3 spoke wheel!
I have a rear wing in black if you are interested in swaping it out for a perfect one... in fact I have the whole rear deck lid all assembled.....
I had a nice 3 spoke and got it off craigslist for a song, then it was "too nice" so I sold it on ebay, now I am looking for another one... just missed one yesterday BIN - $425 with airbag.. sold in like 5 minutes
My dealer in Dallas had an interior restoration guy clean up my peeling driver bolster for about $100. Not sure what he did but it looks great. The paint touch up guys are common (I need one) but I never heard of restoring peeling leather. It was a great spend. You might look into it.
definitely old school, and not without some merit. I prefer the feel of the three spoke and something about the crest in the 4 spoke looks "plasticy" to me. Even so, if it wasn't crumbling in my hands on humid days I'd probably just leave it be.
You will enjoy this car for a long time and I venture to guess that when you trade out of this car you will be buying a newer version of the 911.
I still have my 02 996, even after purchasing a 997RS, and I still enjoy the car immensely and will probably never sell this car, or the RS for that matter.
