Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

19 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Funny, but I was averaging close to 21mpg on my BMW before I recently entered the Porsche fray. Just checked today, and its 17mpg!! I am consciously aware that I drive it like I am behind the wheel of the 911 (even though it lacks the capability), but didn't realize to what degree my driving habits had changed. Its like the 911 has made my foot twice as heavy. Anyone else experience this strange malady?

POST 2Original post

My poor suburban has regretably learned to dive deep into corners while in heavy braking and learned. To stay ballanced in the turns so it can late apex and get on the gas. Oh and some light tail wagging

POST 3Original post

haha yes! when I drive the the wife's Acadia it is like that floating scene in Inception every time I turn. It leans over like a boat and anything lose in the truck goes flying to the other side.

POST 4Original post

I'm not really sure but it seems that everytime I get into my wife's Murano with her, all I keep hearing now is her yelling at me to slow down because there is a turn coming up!

POST 5Original post

I drive everything like I'm trying to break it....always have.

I can see that from your avatar. How long did that one last?

POST 7Original post

I don't as it reminds me who is king at stright line acceleration

POST 8Original post

I work in a different city than I live and have a CC as a corporate lease car. That poor thing gets dogged all over town. My wife won't let me drive her GL450 anymore, but I can now throttle steer my F150.

POST 9Original post

No, my wife hasn't mentioned anything about .... oh, um, you mean the CAR'S mate... For the most part no, but the one thing that comes up after driving the sports car for a while then driving our minivan is certain turns. Some turns I like to take at a reasonably brisk pace. Taking them at a good 10+ mph slower than I do in the STi or Porsche means the whole car leans and lots of shrill noises come from the other occupants. If no other occupants, they're coming from me saying "wha? I'm only going 20mph, you pig!"

And that's just his Suburban....you should see the riding mower!

POST 11Original post

I'm reminded of something funny that happened not long after I got my car. I met my wife for dinner. She was following me home and after a several turns and a couple of miles, she called me. Her: "Your brake lights aren't working." Me: "How do you know? I haven't used the brakes."

POST 13Original post

Funny you bring this up... My family just came to visit.. and becasue it is summer here I am mostly driving the 996, However we had to take the swaggin wagon (trail blazer) on the site seeing tour... We were coming on to the on ramp to 79 and my tires are sqeeling! My brother looks at me like "WTF" as he's grabbing the oh **** handle above his head.

POST 15Original post

Yes. I have an 06 Grand Prix as my co. car and every now and then I pull over and make sure that I am not dragging something.

Ha, my daily driver is a company-owned '08 Grand Prix and I know what you mean! Has your check engine light been on for 30k miles like mine?!? Anyway, I used to think my SO's '03 Infiniti FX was quite a sporty vehicle...now it just feels like a sloppy-handling pig.
