Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

wow, sorry guys, I must be the oddball - it was the relfector and strakes that kept me out of the C4S camp (well to some degree anyway....noit entirely).
Leading evidence: 'relfector and strakes' (1 discussions report identifying this cause; no attributable repair resolution). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'relfector and strakes' (1 discussions; 1 report identifying it and 0 suggest it). No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

The 996 C4S has been one of my all time favorite 911s for several reasons. One aesthetic reason is the rear center reflector. It just look so sexy how it visually ties the hips together. Wonder when they will design it back into the 911 line.
Not too surprisingly I like the center reflector because I'm a 993 guy but it still looks incredible.
Masterpiece!
True,
The 997 C4S has lost the distinctive rear reflector. I personally think it's a bad move on Porsche's part.
Perhaps they plan on bringing it back in the next model.
+1....no real distinct way to tell the wide body now! At least at first glance. Not sure why they bagged the idea. It can't be an age thing, can it? I mean, they brought back the headlights, so why bag the rear trademark refletor???

Every time I see one I go giddy. It's high on my list of one's to get.
so hot is white and red.

strakes? Is that what the vents are called? I kinda like that! Yes...strakes really do add to the total look...love those things from behind (all part of having a nice A$$....).

I personally don't have any strong feelings for or against the reflector, but I LOVE the fact that Porsche eventually responds to the demands of its vocal, fanatic clientele, even when they can sell tons of cars without catering so much. If that weren't the case, we'd all be driving 928s!
I don't know if I like the reflector actually. I'm glad someone posted about that. I was checking out targa 4S and trying to figure out how to avoid the reflector. New Targa 4S seems to not have the reflector, and I think it looks great without it. But it probably will look great with it too!
It's not a big deal for me as I start thinking about getting a Targa 4 or Targa 4S, but it's still one of those things I have thought about as well.
Today, while returning from Long Island, we were behind a new C4S, dark gray (whatever it's called now) for about 15 minutes in the HOV lane. It was gorgeous, but I gotta say it would love more unique and smooth with the red strip joining the two sides. Whenever I'm behind another C4S..it makes me love my car more and more.
BTW...was in Southampton this weekend. Talk about nice cars parked in regular spots. I think I saw no less than 20 F cars, 20 bentleys and 20 911's. Lot of old stuff too, mercedes, p cars, vettes. And I saw one of those special Lamborghinis parked on the street. It's the new stainless steel looking one? Was gorgeous. But cars, cars, cars....everywhere in the village shopping area.
