Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Leading evidence: 'Run hawk hps' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'most popular street pads' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Recommend 996-352-949-03-m168 mintex brake pads' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Again, I use the car as daily driver, no track days.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I'll disagree with everyone above. I bought them because they were cheap and have a good reputation AND I've got dedicated track pads for the track...but they suck for stopping power and aren't THAT much better on dust than the factory pads.
Wouldn't recommend them.

Key words here...Daily Driver. I don't think he is trying to stop the car from 100mph in less than one car length. The stock pads create far more brake dust than the Mintex pads and the stopping power from the Mintex is still on par with what one would expect from a German sports car...and they are cheap.
How are the Mintex on the rotors? Sales Rep from Pelican say, "soft". I received a response from another fellow p-car owner saying harsh. Again, I use the car as daily driver, no track days. Occasionally do brake hard, when needed. Thanks!
Maybe I need to re-bed mine...but I'm usually pretty particular about bedding procedures for new pads. What I can tell you is I feel the stopping power of the Mintex units is noticably worse than the stock pads. The car still stops fine I guess but to me it requires much more pedal effort to get the desired stopping power.
I'm going back to the stock units for my next set of street pads.
Andy
The Mintex work fine on the street. They have comparable performance to the factory Porsche pads, but dust a lot less. They are very easy on rotors. They are not by any means a track capable pad. They can start to fade after just a couple hard stops. Even if you don't track your car, you should still have your brake fluid changed at least yearly with a good performance brake fluid. They will help maintain you street brake performance.
I run Hawk HPS. Stop great in all conditions (I don't track the car) and minimal brake dust. Have run for 20,000 miles and no issues on the rotors. No squeak either.
Nothing wrong with the stock pads for street driving. Quiet and great stopping ability. No reason you can't get 50,000+ miles out of them in a 6 speed.

I tried them on my Boxster (as street pads only) and I was very underwhelmed with the pads. No real reduction in dust and no better stopping than stock IMHO.
No. If you have the original pads, they will be stuck to the back. Lightly pry them off. If the pads have ever been replaced, they will already be off the pads when you pull them out.. The only time you should ever have to replace them is if they break.
