I know there is a Rennlist link on cleaning and lubricating the pedal, but the dealer should fix it for what it cost.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

It just started yesterday as I was in gridlock traffic. It has gotten worse today since I had to drive 100 miles home. You can barely feel it in the steering wheel, but you mainly hear it. You mostly notice it at slower speeds. It doesn't seem to be tied to the steering at all. It almost seems like a bearing that is bad because it seems isolated to the turning of the wheels and not the turning of the wheel or bumps, etc.
I've had a BMW with a bad control arm bushing and it doesn't feel like that.
The best way I can describe it is like riding a bicycle that has a few bearings missing in the front hub.
Thanks for any input.
I've had this problem in BMW's and this Porsche as well. My P dealer replaced the entire gas pedal assembly and it still does the same thing (dealer I bought it from paid for it). When they had it for my new motor, they checked it and said nothing is wrong.
There is definitely something wrong and it is VERY annoying.
My question is.......How can I get the dealer to repair something when they don't have the intelligence to even understand the problem?
I know there is a Rennlist link on cleaning and lubricating the pedal, but the dealer should fix it for what it cost. Plus, it has a warranty on it.
Many thanks.
This car is on my last nerve!
It could be a bad bushing on one of the lower control arms - try doing a search on that. Spraying the bushing with Wurth HHS or similar often effects a temporary cure.
I have a popping sound every once in a while in certain outdoor temperatures when running ac or heat...I wrote in off a freak temperature issue in the duct system.....when it starts popping(4 times per year) I just cut the radio up louder....
Actually, sounds like a cracked or bent rim to me, if only felt during slow tire rotations, regardless of road surface. Check the inside bead area..thatis where they usually crack. I had the same thing. Can't tell you about the gas pedal. Mine is smooth as silk.
