Given that I'm hopelessly indecisive, AND that I will lose a good chunk of change on a trade-in, I probably won't buy either car.

I have a friend who sells Porsches and he told me that he had a guy who was dead set on buying a 997.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Given that I'm hopelessly indecisive, AND that I will lose a good chunk of change on a trade-in, I probably won't buy either car. But this is a discussion board, after all, so, why not kick it around... which would YOU buy? (Both asking about $80k).
'02 TT with 36,000 mi.

'04 C4S with 10,000 mi.

Thanks.
Of the two choices, TT is the way to go, however, the milage is high and the warranty nearly over. On the other hand, the m96 engine is far from bullitproof, ie RMS
Like you said, you're going to take a bath!
02 TT, 80k sounds excellent to me (I am not current with pricing though). I think C4S is better looking, obviously newer with lower milage and is through a dealer. With every other concievable qualities, including every performance figures TT will eat the C4S alive. I will not trade in my C4S for it, but if you are in the market, you'll be nuts to consider the C4S
I think the overwhelming answer on this Board is turbo because most of us have driven the turbo, and this is one car that trully sells itself. I have a friend who sells Porsches and he told me that he had a guy who was dead set on buying a 997. He asked the guy if he had ever considered a TT, and the guy said no. Well my friend finally got the guy to test drive the TT, and 30 minutes later he was at my friend's desk finalizing the sale on the TT.
If you've got the money, it's no contest. The TT is king.
IMHO, if the majority of your driving is to be rural or on the track, the turbo would be the best car to buy. If the majority of driving is to be urban, I would say the C4S.
