A few scratches, front spoiler probably could use a repaint, but overall the car is in pretty good shape.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi All-- A Friend of mine is looking at getting this 1999 996 C2 Cabrio Black/Black, partial leather, sport Aero kit [front valance, skirts, rear "stick on flare things"]. Also has the 8-9 thin spoke 2 piece looking wheels. No Leather dash, partial leather interior, 57,000 Miles, up to date on service, serviced at dealer up the road. Manual Transmission. A few scratches, front spoiler probably could use a repaint, but overall the car is in pretty good shape. The person wants $29,250 for the car--wanted to put it to you guys to see what you think. No RMS leaks/Failures so far on the car.

POST 2Original post

Like I said in the past...the prices on these cars are going to plummet. Be prepared... Good for some, bad for others. The deals are going to really be out there. A good example. A buddy of mine just found a fully (and I mean fully) loaded coupe with a factory aero kit for under $37K. The deals are certainly out there. Chad

POST 3Original post

Cole: If it's a manual transmission, that price sounds excellent! My feeling is that as these cars age, the value of the tip will go down faster than the manual trans. If it's a tip, I suspect the price is still pretty good. Joe '99 996 coupe w/aerokit shortly? (for a lot more than $29,250)
