Could I use a spacer on 18in GT3 wheels to fit my C4S?
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

You can use the (996) GT3 winter rear wheels (10 x 18 et 47 mm) on the rear of a C4S with chains (according to the C4S TSB Winter Tire, Wheel, & Snow Chain Applications -- dated 10-09-04).
Loren - thanks!
Can you point me to the GT3 front tire sizes? For some idiotic reason I thought that the GT3 was a wide body! Now I have a German EBay purchase that may not of been the best decision!
Yes I already bought them and my C4S will be picked up for delivery to me in Germany. The tires and wheels should be here tomorrow (Heimsheim Germany).
Steve, in the future you need to ask these questions BEFORE you buy something, not after. We can help you from making some mistakes.
There is not as big a disparity in the front wheels on a narrow body versus wide body as there is in the rear wheels. You should be able to install what ever width tires will fit on the wheel width. For example, an 8" wide wheel wil accommodate a 205 to 235 tire size, so you have some flexability.
Tim,
Roger that - the price I bought them for was worth the risk and I could of turned them quickly. The sizes were correct tire wise but I could not confirm the offsets for the wheels.
Appreciate everyone's help here. The car should be here in 6 weeks or so.
