Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.
Discussions that suspect a cause
1
0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suspected cause
2) Great idea, definitly a great idea and probably the most innovative thing to hit tires since the PAX system.
0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
I would certainly hope the final product would have a sidewall, or you'd be cleaning junk out of them constantly...still though, from an aesthetic standpoint the small wheels thing is a design flaw.
Leading evidence: 'most innovative thing' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'most innovative thing' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Clean junk out of them constantly...still though' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

1) I couldn't care less if it means spike strips won't work...that just means i can play Cannonball Run more often so sign me up.

i'm sure these are all issues you can work out, hopefully without using ultra expensive materials that would price it out of normal consumer range.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

One of my college buddies works in the auto industry and sent me this e-mail. What do you guys think???
Radical new tire design by Michelin. The next generation of tires.
They had a pair at the Philadelphia car show.
These tires are airless and are scheduled to be out on the market very soon.
The bad news for law enforcement is that spike strips will not work on these tires.
This is what great R&D will do, and just think of the impact on existing technology:
a... no more air valves
a... no more air compressors at gas stations
a... no more repair kits
These are actual pictures taken in the South Carolina plant of Michelin. It will be awhile before they are available to the automotive industry.
It's not ready for commercial application just yet. Still too much road noise for passenger vehicles according to my sources. The prototype might look a little weird, but it's only to showcase the technology. I conjecture the final product will have a sidewall just like a regular tire.
I would certainly hope the final product would have a sidewall, or you'd be cleaning junk out of them constantly...still though, from an aesthetic standpoint the small wheels thing is a design flaw.
I think it looks fantastic, as though the car is floating. We'll quickly get used to the look, and frankly, they could just put a flexible cover over the mesh and it'd look solid. Morevoer, think about the beauty of racing it: no need to worry about rising pressures from heat. You just swap out the mesh frame depending on application and retread it.
How do I get my order in now?
What I think:
1) I couldn't care less if it means spike strips won't work...that just means i can play Cannonball Run more often so sign me up.
2) Great idea, definitly a great idea and probably the most innovative thing to hit tires since the PAX system.
3) isn't there going to be too much sidewall flex from those? and if u go with too hard an "inner" segment, won't it just crack? i'm sure these are all issues you can work out, hopefully without using ultra expensive materials that would price it out of normal consumer range.
4) Wanna ship me a few sets for highspeed testing? U can pick any car out of my lineup to pull data from, as long as I'm the one who gets to beat up on em
