$ 200 for the daytime running lights, and as far i as know you dont have to change the MPH to KPH gauge faces, as long as the cars digital readout is in KMS your fine, other then that you dont need to change anything else.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Newbie to the fray..... Looking at a 01 US car and the mods needed to get it passed the Canadian Border Guards. Digital speedo is a select Miles or Kms I think. The question is around the Lights, what does it take $$ to make em stay on? It has Xenons does that make a difference? Afternote - apparently hook up to the fogs

POST 2Original post

The instrument cluster will still be in standard not metric without replacing it. You will probably want to retitle your thread "What is needed to convert US spec to Canadian spec?" so you will get those people to chime in that have done it.

POST 3Original post

$ 200 for the daytime running lights, and as far i as know you dont have to change the MPH to KPH gauge faces, as long as the cars digital readout is in KMS your fine, other then that you dont need to change anything else.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the info guys, checking other sources as well, the mods are low order magnitude and easy to do. Having a US car in Canada just means I take take a hit on subsequent trade-in/resale of about Cdn$5k, anyway they can huh.

POST 5Original post

I added Canadiaqn style DRLs to my 2001 C4 by simply jumpering the seat heat fused power source over to the street/parking light fuse in the fuse panel to the left of the clutch pedal.

POST 6Original post

Suggest you ask the question about DRL's on the Canadian Forum - many have described their experience converting US cars to Canadian specs. If you do a search you'll find all the answers.
