Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

34 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So I no longer need to post updates in my other thread "buying my first Porsche" as I actually bought one today So its a 2002 C4S which drove smooth as hell during the test drive and with 83'500 km on the clock. Previous owner was 70 yo and sold it because of this. The car is in mint condition and even smelt like factory new leather... All stamps are in the service book and got 12 month warranty as well ad full service and new MOT. Oh, new front tyres to be fitted as well and full service... Delievery on the 19th sf January, so photos to follow. Damn I'm excited...

POST 28 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks all Still have 4 days (depending on how you count) until pick-up on Saturday the 19th. The longest 2 weeks in my life BUT then nothing compared to the 25 years I have been waiting all in all for the day to come from when I sat the very first time in a 911 and knew that was what I wanted until now I will post photos of the car and the alps when weather permits and take a more active part of the forum so get ready for all the questions in due time... Can't wait PS. My avatar is the actual car I bought

POST 29Original post

Welcome and congratulations - was 30 years between my 1st Porsche and my "someday I'll have another". Well worth the wait. She'll be in your hands soon! Enjoy!

POST 30Original post

THat photo has only one little fault, it doesnt have a Porsche in it.. God what a great photo... Awesome.

POST 31 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My first thing on the to-do list is to upgrade the Sat-Nav firmware. I know it's the 16bit PCM 1.0 unit so upgrading with the Opel 2010-11 maps which I take it are a tad better than the 2002 discs that comes with the car. Have download the software and got the maps sorted for Western Europe... Besides that, there is nothing I want to change as it is as beautiful as it can get and as some may have gathered, I'm not too fond of the 997, 991 exterior and interior but as well know it's all in the eye of the beholder and I love the 996 design, especially the C4S Hurdigurdiman I agree, to have a 911 included in the photo would have brought it to a totally different level

POST 33Original post

Welcome to the club!! You will find yourself going out to the garage several times a day just to look at it!!!! A great sickness to have. Enjoy her Pete
