Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

so i noticed a slight seepage of oil at the bottom of the trans bell housing, while under checking things out i also noticed the 10mm 12pt bolt was way loose (clutch was replaced @ year ago at a dealer in cali) anyways can anybody chime in with torque specs for bell housing bolts? Thanks! 01 996 c2 6spd

POST 2Original post

10mm bolts are 33 ft./lbs. 12mm bolts are 63 ft./lbs. If you are talking about the internal triple square bolt do yourself a favor & either buy a Quality short bit to torque it or remove the 10mm X 50mm bolt & replace with conventional bolt.

all bolts are external, they mount the tranny bell housing to the engine. all are hex head except for 1, the oddball is the 10mm 12point triple square bolt.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
