Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My ABS & Brake lights are staying on, could this be because of one headlight is bright & one is dim (Parking Lights) & i noticed today that one of my brake lights has a short in the socket, that probably has something to do with the ABS & Brake lights staying on also i'm assuming. Do i have to replace the whole unit or can i fix it another way & how do i fix the front headlight problem. Thanks for any help

POST 2Original post

First troubleshooting step: check the dim headlight and make sure it's securely in place. Remove it and reinstall it if necessary. It can cause unpredictable things if it's coming loose. If you ignore it long enough and it's loose, it will fly out of your car upon hard braking. Ask me how I know!

POST 4Original post

I'll be glad to ramble trying to touch every subject that might be needed. One is dim, other is bright. The blue light on the gauge panel comes on for high beams. If that still lights then makes sure you are off of high beam. Then.......I'm not telling you the simple answer yet hehehehe.....look at them to see if its still that way. Yes if it isn't plugged in good out gret forum contributor above can attest to how there is a danger. I give up. Your bulb needs to be changed. It is burned out. Yes it looks like the beam is on but it is burned out and you are seeing another bulbs light. Both high and low beam are the same bulb in at least the 1999 model. Plug and play generation to the max with the lights. Now, no matte what make sure you are certain the module is fastened back into place securely. You have been warned above. I also wont actually touch on all the light subjects but will impart don't touch the bulb and use a clean lint free cloth to install it. Which is high ad low beam? The low beam is the one that is burned out

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
