Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Business peer is looking to buy a Cabriolet/6 Speed for his wife, (I think really for him, but whatever it takes to get one) He is leaning towards a C4S Cab, but also considering a C2 Cab. Looking to find vehicle on a lot or incoming. I provided him with several inventory searches through the dealer locator screens at Porsche.com Any thoughts to reduction off sticker price on the above models? Invoice pricing possible on a C4S? Thx, Mike M 02 986S AS/GG/GG

POST 2Original post

If he's looking for a new car, I think it's possible to get close to invoice on the C2 Cab. The C4S is a different story. It just came out this year so they have no reason to discount it. The C2 has been out for quite some time now and the market's saturated with them so it's not too difficult to find a good deal. Not to mention the upcoming 997 is causing some buyers that were originally considering a 996 C2 to hold off and wait for the 997's release. He could definitely get a good deal on a used C2 Cab. Anything post '02. More horsepower and the updated headlights (some people like the older headlights, I happen to think the newer ones look cleaner, that's just me though). I'd be interested in what people are buying used C4S' for these days. I'm not ready to get one just yet, but maybe in a few months if the price is right.

POST 3Original post

I would expect to get a $4-5k discount on a '04 C2 cab, and nothing off or up to $3k on a C4S cab. Most dealers I spoke to were alloted 1 C4S cab a month. Spring is around the corner and cabs will be a hot item soon.
