I've got one of the first ones available in our area, a 2002 996 C4S. Ordered October 2001, delivered Feb 2002. Here in the US, the 996 turbo-look AKA the C4S came out for MY 2002, and the C4 coupe was no longer available.

If you are talking about the Carrera4S, then no. The C4S is a 4 wheel drive, hence the hard to miss (4) in its name. No sense in writing C2 anymore is there, if its not a 4wd, it must be a 2.

I believe there was a pre-996 wide body. I believe it was a 993 C2S. Same principle: turbo look, brakes and suspension, sans turbo and wing.
