Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.

Suggestion

I saw these rubber mats (in Tweeks, I think) that had about 1.5" of side lips built into them so any water/salt/crap that is on your shoes gets trapped in there without running onto the carpet under the pedals, seats, etc.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

This has been discussed somewhat, but I'm wondering if anyone has purchased some rubber mats that they are happy with. Thanks.

POST 2Original post

I ordered rubber mats for my 1999 996 from WeatherTech ( http://www.weathertech.com/store/veh...pt_choice_id=0 ), and I knew that they were going to require "some trimming" to make them fit properly. But when they arrived, they looked like I was going to have to redesign them rather than simply do some minor mods. So I returned them. If someone has a better recommendation for front rubber floor mats for a 996, I'd love to hear it.
