Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

It is probably one of the best investments you can make for your car. With a membership you can start to attend track event with your car and really learn how to drive your car. If tracking isnt your thing they sponsor many social event and autocrosses and you also get a nice magazine (Panorama). You also get gift certificates for Porsche parts sometimes. Last one was buy 200 dollars of stuff and get 100 dollars off.
The BMWCCA is the best investment of them all.
$38.00/ year. Members get $500-1,500 back on the purchase of a new or used BMW.
So far I've received $ 2,000 on 3 car purchases over the last 5 years.
No better way to build owner loyalty to the brand
Porsche..are you listening ?

Nick by all means join PCA. It looks like you live in Houston and your region Lone Star is a great region with lots of great folks that I have met over the years. Go to their web site and learn more about them, joining will be well worth it. You will not only meet people with similair interests and cars but can get referals to the best repair shops the places that have the best deals on service, parts, cars, etc. Plus you will make alot of good new friends along the way.

Best thing you could do IMHO!
It has so much to offer that if I would consider buying another Porsche over another make even if I liked the other make better.
You can't go wrong for $40 a year......
I admit BMWCCA is a nice memebership and Roundel mag is IMHO much better that Panorama. BUT,,,to keep a Bimmer on the road you need every bit of the cash BMWCCA gives you back to keep their hunks of junk on the road!
All the problems my wife and I have had with our 2001 3series is simply deplorable and we won't be buying a third car from them.
My PCA Membership has been great to me just the way it is, although an occasional article in Panorama about the performance characteristics of our Porsches against BMW's and others would be nice (just like Roundel does). I guess PCA thinking is that they will not stoop to BMW's level.
Hey guys,
This may be an extremely ignorant question, but do you have to be a Porsche owner to become a PCA member? I'm a BMW owner and BMWCCA member, but I believe you do not need to be an owner to become a member. Does this hold true for PCA? I've been trolling this board along with other Porsche oriented ones and have been flirting with the idea of getting a pre-owned 996. I figure becoming a member will keep me even more informed with the P-car world (Panorama). I also would much rather buy a pre-owned car from a PCA member than a dealer around a random corner. I was hoping that the Panorama classifieds would help me with that search.
Again, this board is great and the people here make it even better.
Thanks!
Hope to be in the "club" one day.
