Who in their right mind would spend 15 - 17K on a 99' with the stock engine in it - unless it had 70K+ miles - then the whole car would be run about slap-out.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

20 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 2Original post

POST 3Original post

POST 4Original post

POST 5Original post

Quotes source post: 6858891

Clear signal covers about 29 bucks from sunset Porsche.. and yes, C2/4 refers to drivetrain.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 6858891

You can 'get them' for $21,500LOL! This is only a one-day sale - I might even go 18,500.00 for cash - but you see, nobody has that kind of cash at this very moment, so I'm stuck with this terrific car for now!!! 6 more hours in this day...surely there are some side-deal crack-smackers out there with some Saturday afternoon mad money?!?!

POST 7Original post

there are 17 996's with in 500 miles of savannah ga. most are in the mid teens but the reserves havent been met. prices are differnt around the country as we all know however. oh marlin i did email them about clear lenses, thanks. too bad i didnt see your car 2 months ago. i had the cash, but i found my baby in SC.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Mid - teens is probably kind of high for a 99' with stock engine. My reman costed 11K to install including the new coolant tank. So even you gotta' admit that 18.5K is a steal-and-a-half for this car. Who in their right mind would spend 15 - 17K on a 99' with the stock engine in it - unless it had 70K+ miles - then the whole car would be run about slap-out. Sure shine it up for a 20 foot gaze, but after an hour behind the wheel - well, you get my drift.

Are you manual / C2? Only thing I sort of miss every now and then is shifting. The tip +C4 is pretty awesome though - I just gotta' get used to it - I'm convinced that this thing would do well on a track. Factory spec for manual is a couple mph faster than Tip + tip is slower dash speed. It seems pretty sure-footed in heavy rain - not sure I'll run it on the snow though.

I think that is a very fair price, no?

POST 13Original post

is the sale over - would you mind explaining WTF that was all about now - Marlon, that car is yours and no one in the world wants it at any price you are willing to sell it for - now get out in the garage and find whats irratating you, fix it, drive the thing, and fall back in love with it!! (or trade it in on a Prius )
