Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have the Super Cup splitter / lip 996.505.986.91, and I was wondering if you all thought its a good idea to use some 3M double sided tape to help hold it on. I have just used the pop rivets in the past, and there are so many parking embankments that just rip it off. Thoughts? Tape or no tape?

POST 2Original post

Yes, absolutely use the 3m tape... Unless you don't like it too much. They are known to just fly right off at track speed after an end has come loose via the plastic clips. I much prefer to have it hanging there still half attached by tape so that I can save it.

POST 3Original post

I use both double sided 3M tape and the Porsche rivets to secure my front lip.

POST 4Original post

In addition, a bead of silicone keeps air out of the gap which is really the enemy with keeping it on...unless you hit something

POST 5Original post

+1 on all counts both tape and rivets here, silicone works
