I'm new to the mod scene and was wondering if I could get some opinions on the best aftermarket exhaust for an 02 996, and where to get it. I'm looking for a better sound and a few extra hp would also be nice, but not totally necessary. Thanks

Search is your friend. I have GHL and love it -- great price for Rennlist Members. PSE was too expensive, IMO.

Agree with Riozilla. Love my GHL's. Don't look for added power at the exhaust end.

I have Fabspeed and love it.I think you will find that everyone loves what they have. PSE, GHL, Fabspeed, B&B. I chose Fabspeed b/c my research showed they used a thicker aluminum in more of their construction. I also liked the weight saving over the PSE. Do a search and you will find sound clips of all.

I think you should run a search. There are threads that have clips of the exhaust sound so you can compare it yourself. You will find more than enough information. Most popular choices are Fabspeed, GHL and PSE.

I agree with Riozilla too. GHL gives you a great deal if you're a Rennlist member plus they offer two versions: normal or loud! Build quality & installation ease is 1st rate. Call them all & inquire about their products!

IMO the GHL has good sound, is well made, and a good deal. The PSE is the same, but alot more money. I say you can't discount the fact that it is factory. I say get either one as you'll won't be disappointed with either.
