Well Amigo's as some of you may know, I obtain a set of BFG TDW - K2 for my 996 Targa 285/30/18 - 225/40/18 After almost two weeks I can't stand it anymore, I have put almost 600 miles thus far but the tire noise simply will not quite down. The road noise is simply too dam loud for my 5am commute - I can barely hear the radio or worse yet my engine. I have confirm they are mounted correctly (Local Paul Miller Dealership) but the noise still plagues me. Don't get me wrong, the tires handle great, even in rain; but the road noise is something this old man could do without. I am selling them on e-bat for $600.00 they would make a great track tire, but not for daily driving. I ordered a set of S02-A (which I should have from the dam beginning) oh well live and learn.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Sorry to hear it. They do look great. Thanks for the data too.
Could it be the noise was due to them sticking out so far? Forgot to ask if you added spacers.
Bummer!. I agree with Lee, they did look nice on your car. Did you verify the proper orientation of the tires? From what we saw in your initial post about this, it appeared they were not rotating correctly. I wonder if this is the cause of the excessive noise. In any regard good luck with this and the new set. And let us know your impressions on the S02-A's.
Sorry guys. I never liked the look and am not surprised that they are loud. Just my opinion. Sorry RJM that it didn't work out though. You'll love the Bridges!
Any cupping? [just joking] See if you can check out the noice levels on a 996 with S02-As in your area.
NOT FUNNY!!! yes it is
