I'm no expert but before disconnecting the battery, why not just disconnect the radio and re-seat it.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have the CR-220 head unit (w/ the iPod input wire connected to aux). I pushed the right hand **** button (twice) and might have twisted it too. It stopped playing the radio immediately and the display went dark. I must have inadvertently put it into some other mode. Can anyone help me put things right? Many thanks!

POST 2Original post

If you can't figure it out just disconnect the battery for a while and when you reconnect everything should reset. But keep in mind you'll need your radio code to get it working again.

POST 3Original post

I'm no expert but before disconnecting the battery, why not just disconnect the radio and re-seat it. That should reset it without having any other potential problems pop up by disconnecting the battery. This assumes you have the radio pull out keys though but you will also need the radio code under this method as well.

POST 4Original post

Captain Obvious wants to know if you tried the double push twist trick to undo what was done.

POST 5Original post

If you pull out the radio it is the same as disconnecting the battery. You are just breaking the electrical connection at the radio instead of the battery. Did the double push twist work in reverse?

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yup, tried the double push and reverse twist trick even before Captain Obvious pointed it out !!! I was eventually able to turn the unit back on with the power button, but then it would give me 4 beeps and shut off. Sometimes the unit stayed on for 10 seconds and sometimes a few minutes. But it kept shutting off. I also noticed that during the "on" time the LED display would start bright and go into a dim mode. Anyone know what "beep beep beep beep" means to this unit? I have the code and I have the removal keys just in case.... PS This radio unit's owner's manual give no clues... Very confused.... at least I have nice exhaust note to listen to!
