Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

I recently had this same issue with the system sensing the door was still open...replaced the switch, and didn't fix it...ended up being the immobilizer control unit that failed...replaced that (and had to get 2 new key heads and reprogram everything) and the issue was resolved.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

When I lock my car, my alarm horn blip, indicating of an electrical false contact. It has never been a problem and I even prefer to hear the horn to confirm it is armed but yesterday I realized that the little amber light under my center rear view mirror doesn't turn off. I am even surprised it has not burn off yet. Anyways I need to fix it. Last time the dealer told me it could be coming from anywhere like a glovebox contact or whatelse. any suggestion about fixing this ? I was thinking pulling fuse one by one and see when that amber light turn off. But I am open for more suggestions. Phil

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

weird i just got back to the car and the amber light is off... may be it was always on timer and I never noticed it...

POST 3Original post

I've been quite irritated lately with the drivers side window and the alarm. I have narrowed it down to the open/ closer microswitch and the interior door mircoswitch. I have them on order As I can not lock the car because the open/lock microswitch is indicating that the door is actually open! So annoying.

take it to a Compitent Indy that works on Porsche and knows their way around Eletricle work. They should be able to help you out...

POST 6Original post

I had that issue for a whle and realized that the centre cubby console cover was not closed properly - my iPod dongle was getting the way. It might be that simple.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

as crazy as it sounds, the glove box not closed properly might have been it... that is just crazy... I'll keep you guys posted if I see the problem coming back
