Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Everything works perfectly, no leaks, doesn't burn oil or smoke - drives perfectly - the car came off Porsche CPO last year so everything was always fixed when issues arose (last had the cardan shaft replaced due to wear of the rubber damper).

4) storage bin placed in center console to replace the CD holder (can remove and replace with original CD holder if desired instead - I don't listen to the radio so I preferred the extra storage space with the second bin)

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

For sale is my 2003 996 C4S with asking price of $32,500. Arctic Silver outside, black leather inside. Heated seats, original Bose stereo with single-CD and rear subwoofer. Car has 99,700 miles. Everything works perfectly, no leaks, doesn't burn oil or smoke - drives perfectly - the car came off Porsche CPO last year so everything was always fixed when issues arose (last had the cardan shaft replaced due to wear of the rubber damper). It is a great driver's car, used as my occasional driver - just add gas and go! Car is completely original except for four things: 1) Engine has the LN IMS Bearing installed as a preventive measure (original bearing was OK - still have it!) 2) mufflers have the sport exhaust bypass so they sound like the PSE system - I have a set of original mufflers if those are preferred instead. 3) garage opener button installed under the PSM button (will remove and add original button since I will want the garage opener back... unless you can use it) 4) storage bin placed in center console to replace the CD holder (can remove and replace with original CD holder if desired instead - I don't listen to the radio so I preferred the extra storage space with the second bin) 90K mile service was done at 90K miles per the manual: trans & differential oil change, serpentine belt, all 3 filters (air, cabin, oil), engine oil, brake fluid flush, radiators cleaned. Transmission works perfectly with no popping out of gear, no clutch slippage, and shifts perfectly. Michelin tires are fine and rears have discount tire warranty in the event of non-repairable failure; brakes in spec and not needing replacement. As I mentioned, everything works perfectly and it's a great car to drive because it's fast, sounds great, and looks great and requires nothing. It even gets 29-30mpg cruising on the freeway! Car is priced accordingly due to mileage and cosmetic wear as the car has nicks and scratches in the paint with no dents, but that's the great part about the car since it's not a concourse queen you can drive it and enjoy it without worry of getting some road rash or adding miles. The interior is perfect other than wear on the rear of the driver's seat from the prior owner's usage - the interior smells brand new which might seem hard to believe, but it really does. I love the smell of this car and wish my other 996 smelled this good. I have just one key - that's all I got when I bought the car 3 years ago as a CPO car. The car looks beautiful inside and out, and drives great. It's always garaged. I'm selling as I'd like to try a different car which is hard to do because this one needs nothing and works perfectly. Title in hand; CA registered until October. PM me if interested or have any questions or requests for pics. Thank you
