Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So this is shaping up to be a very good car week... Tomorrow morning I am trading in my 2007 Aston Martin V8 Vantage for a new 2008 Aston Martin V8 Vantage N400 (#162 of 240 made). I'll post some pics as soon as I get her home and the sun shows itself. And... this morning I placed an order for a 2008 Ferrari F430 Spider F1 for September delivery. I am, as you can imagine, crazy excited. I'll never give up my P-car and I feel like I finally have my dream garage: Porsche, Aston Martin, and Ferrari. I have no idea how I'll decide what to drive every morning!

POST 2Original post

I didn't know Jay Leno was a fellow Rennlister! Congrats. It's not just your dream garage <drool>.

POST 3Original post

Dude, whatever you're doing keep at it. Congrats on the rides, nice selection.

POST 5Original post

German, British, and Italian....it doesn't get much better than that. German for daily driver, British for long distance cruising, and Italian for those special weekends when you have the need for speed. Congratulations.

POST 6Original post

Cool! Now that's a photo I have to see. One of the VPs of my company has a DB9 Volante and I love he look of the car from the front... not crazy about it from behind, but it's a nice car.

POST 7Original post

That's quite a stable. How do you find the time and how do you decide which car to drive??Congrats on a pedigree listing of vehicles. Pics would be great to see!

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks, guys. To answer the color question, the new Aston is the Karussell Orange that is limited to only the N400. Interior is black. Here's an example: The F430 is Silverstone grey with Rosso interior. And here's an example of that: Let me know what you think...

POST 9Original post

If someone told me I had to choose my favorite, could only keep one, or my ***** get chopped off I'd roll with an empty sack. Beautiful to say the least, right down to the choice of colors. Living the dream... Well done

POST 11Original post

WOW a dream garage indeed... Beautiful cars, enjoy them all as much as you can, very nice.

The last pic appears o be the vandenbrink design gto. It is essentially a rebodied 599. Info can be found here - http://www.vandenbrinkdesign.com/ind...d=29&Itemid=41 but yes Ferrari should build it as it looks flawless

POST 14Original post

Your stable is scary gorgeous. The orange AM and titanium F430 are awesome as is. Wanna give us a hint as to what you do? Entertainment/Sports/Halliburton? Got to be one of those.

POST 16Original post

Very, very nice... I finally had the opportunity two weeks ago to drive an 08 Vantage at the Aston dealer in Vegas. My wife and I are interested in weekend "touring" car and have begun the search. I really enjoyed that car! I can see why it is part of your collection... Jeremy Clarkson of Top Gear got my wife excited about it, and we were both thrilled to drive it. We then drove a Bentley Continental GT and were extrememly underwhelmed... Enjoy those fine rides! I'd be giddy as well! -Blake

POST 17Original post

very nice! it's indeed a interesting problem to pick a the right car every morning.

POST 18Original post

I'll help you spend more money: If you're really a Baller, then you need to also get the 3 "classic versions" of each car. Then post a picture of them all together.

lol. Internet marketing. Not a bad gig all in all. Thanks for all the comments guys. The N400 is in my garage as I type. Weather is a bit sketchy today here in the NE but I'll try to get some pics posted tomorow.

I agree. It's good to have goals. Just give me a year or two to get my Gallardo and Carrera GT first!

POST 21Original post

Let me know what you think... I think you're living the American dream and you're the envy of most of us. As previously requested, what exactly to you do for a living?

POST 22Original post

Very nice! enjoy!! What am I doing wrong? Maybe I should start knocking over convenience stores at night! )

Mentioned before I was in Internet marketing. That's about as specific as I want to be on a public forum. If anyone is curious, happy to reply via PM but can promise you it's not really that exciting.

POST 24Original post

If you enjoy your 'cars' it really doesn't matter what you do, or did to get them. Just to be able to enjoy driving all of them has got to be a rush. How long have you owned your Healey 3000?

LiveFrom NY, I just bought my cab from the mercedes dealer there in Greenwich. The day I went to pick it up, I had to wait around for a couple of hours for the guy who was registering my car for me to come back from the NY DMV ( was earilier than my appontment time). Anyway, while I was hanging around, I got talking to the general manager. We were talking about alot of the dealers around there. He was telling me that the Lamborghini dealer was hurting. He said they had only sold one car for the month of april. Might be a good time to low ball them. By the way, mu good friend has a 07 f430 spider. Got it last summer after being on a waiting list for 2 years, then the car was delivered about 8 months later than it was supposed to be. The car is insane. It is like a bike on 4 wheels. Congrats John

Picked up the Healey in 2000. It's a Mark I car that is fully restored to original specs. So much fun to drive and a great investment...

POST 27 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 5466599

Yeah, I stopped by the Lambo dealer after buying the Ferarri just to make sure I was making the right choice. They seemed eager to sell me a car which, in Greenwich, is rare. Tempting but I gotta slow down and catch my breath!

POST 29Original post

Wow, I've always been an AM=British Racing Green, Ferrari=Red type of traditionalist, but seeing those two color schemes just changed that! Those cars in "non-traditional" paint look absolutely stunning!!! Congrats on the acquisition.

POST 30 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 5467275

Too funny. I am exactly the same way. The 2007 Aston I just traded in was silver because, in my mind, that was the classic AM color (Bond... James Bond). And I always swore my first Ferrari would be red/tan. But there's something to be said about unique colors. I took a ride in the new Aston today and was cracking up. People always looked at my last car, but it kind of snuck up on them (oh my, that's an Aston Martin). With the new car in orange I thought people's heads were going to snap off their necks!

POST 31Original post

Live: Wow fantastic taste in vehicles. I thought a ways back you were going to the other coast, or was that someone else. Congrats on the new purchases you are definitely "da Man"

POST 32 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 5468924

Thanks, mate. You're correct. I'm in the process of relocating to Austin, TX which is another coast as long as you consider the Colorado river one of the coasts. Already bought my house there and building out my office space now. Will be there full-time as of Sept. 1. Any Rennlisters in Austin who want to hang and talk cars, feel free to get in touch! Managed to get a few pics of the N400 this weekend. Will post a new thread with photos in a bit for anyone who is interested.

POST 33Original post

Awesome garage, if you are ever in NY pm me to meet up!

POST 34Original post

Pm sent - Austin is a wonderful place (with some terrific roads to explore the car). Incredible collection btw.
