I can't help on the deleted, sound-deadening carpet but I can say that if you run without it, it not fit right.

I just got done removing most of my interior for the cage to go in, but for my class, the carpet has to go back in. And it is pretty heavy. Is there a place I can get a carpet kit without all of the sound deadening attached?

I can't help on the deleted, sound-deadening carpet but I can say that if you run without it, it not fit right. Experienced this on one of my other cars when I tried to save weight.

John, I bought a full black carpet set off ebay for my project car. I did not use it because it got torn in a few places by the person that removed it. I would be glad to give it to you, if you want to pay shipping & packaging at the local UPS store. You could cut all the insulation off it, prior to installation, and keep your original carpet intact.
