They sell the Fabspeed exhaust but they do a lot of tuning and may know someone who has the GHL exhaust installed (they may even carry it as well.)

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

But either way (unless its crazy loud) i'm still getting the ghl..
Any Rennlisters in Northern Virginia have the GHL exhaust on their 996? If so, plese post. I would like to listen before purchasing a set. Brian at GHL offered to take them back if I don't like the tone, but I don't want to waste his time (and mine) if possible.
Thanks.

You won't be disappointed. The workmanship is great, they sound nice. A low rumble while putting arouind, then sounds like a freakin' cup car when you get on it. They are quieter than PSE's at low rpm, but louder and better at high rpm. They are quieter than fabs at all rpm's, but not by much.
Now, you can't beat the price.
ditto that.. I need to stop by autothority.. I want to hear it as well before purchasing..
But either way (unless its crazy loud) i'm still getting the ghl..
I bought the GHL's and installed them myself and was pleased except that I wanted a bit louder sound. So GHL makes a louder version that I purchased and sold my originals on E-bay no reserve and made $100.00!!!
I am really pleased with the louder sound, they are great!
I installed my GHL's (the quiet ones) 2 weeks ago and they are just right for my taste. Not much louder than stock at idle and quite a bit louder at 5000 rpms. Over the past 550 miles they have gotten a touch louder, but not by much. I have noticed a bit of a jump in 3rd gear acceleration. OK, before the naysayers start flaming me, you should know that the old exhaust had 95,000 miles on them and did have some internal decay. Good news for me since I spend alot of time in 3rd gear in Metro traffic daily
The workmanship quality of the GHL's is much better than the stock exhaust. For instance, the flange on my stock exhaust where the tips attach was not uniform (both sides). In fact, the stock exhaust tips were leaking on both sides upon inspection of the old exhaust upon removal. The GHL's seemed precise in comparison. The GHL's fit nicely and sealed up nicely. Actual time to install was about 1.5 hours. I spent about 1.5 hours messing with the flares on my old tips to get the flares straighened out (round & proper flare). I should have purchased the GHL tips as well, but I really didn't want the large 4" ovals.
I just installed my Loud GHL a week ago.( still trying to record sound clip but it turns out that i can't upload wav file and there;s also a file size limitation also .... I will try again if anyone here still interested?)
anyways, it's all about what you're looking for in the exhaust mod?
GHL has both options. I wanted it loud ! and i got it with the loud version (with quality sound, more like the PSE rather then fabspeed though).
but if you want barely noticeable loud, then the regular version it is for you.
In a quiet neighborhood, I would control the loudness level by slow acceleration( under 3K rpm)...
so far It's been great, with the music at medium level, I can barely hear the exhaust sound thus keep the lady complain-free :-)
but when I'm by myself..music down + windows down= satisfaction!
