Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hola from Long Beach, CA.
I always wanted a Porsche and now I have one. I rule!
Flew out to Arizona and drove it home day after Thanksgiving.
2004 C2, 22K miles, Aero Kit, PASM, Sports Exhaust, HRE 18's and the best color ever, Lapis Blue Metallic!
It was a great decision and I am really enjoying it
This site is great. I have used it many times to answer my stupid questions. Usually someone had already asked it !
What about this custom plate: NEIN96 : What do you think?
That's classic, he had a good idea, but I'm also kind of ambivalent on vanity plates.
The car looks great, that's some deep dish right there....
Also like tying in the German on your NEIN96 idea....
So you're in LB? Do you go to the ALMS in April? Be sure to get Porscheplatz parking when it comes available and you'll be among friends!
Hey thanks
I have not been to any ALMS races but that sounds like a nice idea. I will look into it.
I'm doing the plates!
I live over in Alamitos Bay.
Off topic but since you live in MV: I was looking into independent Porsche shops and heard good things about Vision. Have you used them? They are close by you I believe.
Wow super nice car you got there. I hope you have finished your shopping for car care products already. Cleaning inside the wheels is going to be a task. Some times I think having a pit for working under the car would be nice.
You got a great car there. I'd vote on it as the best 996 on the board
109,000+ miles on mine with no problem. Of course I'll knock on the wood bearings in others IMS's
You've got a great car. Arizona has fine weather for keeping out of the eliments. Brutal heat but eh.
We'll call them "Mood Corners" like the old '70s mood rings.
Yes, Vision Motorsports has a good reputation afaik.
iirc, they were also well known for some great 944 Turbo projects?
In OC I'd also recommend Hergesheimer,
www.hergesheimer.com
, they're great and very meticulous.
There's another option (regarding side markers) which is used in motorcycle customizing, get clear marker and have them painted with a glaze in the same colour as your car.
In general I think the amber stands out so much it attracts too much attention thus taking away from the overall lines and beauty of the car and with those beautiful wheels you've got the perfect balance without the amber.
But be ware, once you start with one thing you won't be able to stop...oooh I think it's already too late!
Enjoy your new ride!
Sid.
Ps. I hope the info on the headlight masks was useful, cheers.
that is why the amber looks ok on red and even some yellow cars... not so good where they contrast too much as there is no other amber.... now add the tail lights and front blinkers and you are all set for your amberware party
They're Tech Art, got them at Porsche dealer $880,- (Canadian), paint $250,-
There are cheap after-market ones out there but don't waste your money on them, they're all crap!
Oh yeah, don't have them baked (paint) because they curl up like curly fries!!!
Cheers,
Sid.
I thought so too... I paid about that much for some crap a$$ ebay ones BECAUSE I was too cheap to spend $50+ for a pair.
how damn cheap were they 2 years ago to have gone WAY up to $20 !!
I'm open for suggestions....
Off topic. You know yesterday I used my intermittent wipers for the first time and they didn't work. Yes it actually rained in So. Cal.
Yes. When I put the stalk in #3 position it wipes once regardless of the **** position. After that nothing. Do I need to replace the relay or something?
Thanks
I just figured out I have Race Inc. 19" RPK 038 wheels on my Pcar. 7 months and I didn't know. It took about an hour of detective work on the computer. Ya, it's a little slow at work :S
