Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello, Has anyone had small or large paint imperfections like scratches or rock chips touched up with an airbrush? What did you think of the result and what was the approximate cost? I'm trying to figure out what to do with the rock chips in my front bumper cover and some small scratches that are down to the primer. Thanks!

POST 2Original post

The object is to fill the whole. The only way to do that is by filling it with filler to the level of the paint. Then repainting the outer surface at the level of the rest of the paint. Whether by air brush or paint gun, you would accomplish the same thing if you havent filled the whole. Seems like the most common way of applying a drop at a time (with a brush or what ever) to fill the whole and disguise it best as possible, is the best way.

POST 3Original post

you could try touch up paint and langka. it works really well. you just have to take your time with it. langka.com only good for chips though. scratches are too much for touch up. let me know what you find out about the airbrushing. i have a couple scratches i wouldn't mind getting rid of.

POST 4Original post

airbrushing can work ok but not for rock chips, etc.
