Leather should be cleaned with a product that will restore oils, not remove the colored finish or dry it out.

Can I just use a brush and soapy water to clean this or does the Porsche require some sort of magical brush made of the unicorn whiskers and a solution orphan tears mixed with cheetah blood?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Greetings all. I bid you happy Saturday. I was wondering about the best way to clean upper part of the door panels. My car is savanna beige on the inside and dirt has permeated the little ridges. Also, there is a good amount of dirt tucked in the texture on the steering wheel. Can I just use a brush and soapy water to clean this or does the Porsche require some sort of magical brush made of the unicorn whiskers and a solution orphan tears mixed with cheetah blood?

Sometimes I think my fiance would prefer that over me spending so much time on Rennlist flirting with Porsche!

POST 4Original post

Griots garage interior cleaner has worked very well for me. Start with a soft rag (microfiber) and get as much as you can before getting more aggressive with soft brush.

POST 5Original post

Leather or vinyl? Leather should be cleaned with a product that will restore oils, not remove the colored finish or dry it out. Synthetic (plastic) vinyl is much more forgiving and most cleaners will work. I have used microfiber cloths and a small amount of dish soap in warm water for leather. Test first. Follow with a conditioner.
