It definitely takes a little getting used, especially since the blind spot on the passenger side is a lot bigger (more like a boxster's blind side, if you've driven one of those).

I plan to replace my 1999 Carrera cabriolet's top soon, and would like to upgrade to the 2002+ version to get the advantage of the glass window. Should the newer version fit OK? Will the storage area accomodate the glass window OK when the top is lowered? I will appreciate any advice about this possible upgrade. relinuca

An 02+ top will not fit, however, there are aftermarket tops for MY99-01 that can be fit with a glass window. The window is much smaller, not sure if it matters that much, but I have not actually driven a car with one of these tops. Here is a link to one, I am sure there are others. http://www.gahh.com/

I just got an aftermarket glass top for my 2001 cab. The window is definitely smaller, especially when viewed from the rear mirror, because it is at a pretty sharp angle. It definitely takes a little getting used, especially since the blind spot on the passenger side is a lot bigger (more like a boxster's blind side, if you've driven one of those). But it's definitely cooler looking (with the defrost lines) and I think a bit quieter (if that's important).

Relinuca, I replaced the top on my '01 with a GHH one. Like said by rch314, glass is smaller on the aftermarket and get's some gettin used to. Not too many options for you. It is the priciest option but at least the best option I believe.
