Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

When the engine was up to full temp (over 180F) I checked the level again and found it holding on the cold marker.
Leading evidence: 'Check level again and found it holding' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'clutch accumulator is filling up' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Check level again and found it holding' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

OK Doug and Krazy K I used the turkey baster on the PS canister.

Suspected cause
If level drops and no leaks noted up front or under car....suspect clutch accumulator is filling up.

I will repost the full flush I did on Renntech using a vacuum tank and disconnecting the lines.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I am about to top off the Hydaulic oil (pentosin CHF 11S) canister in the engine compartment and wondered if there was a special technique in this operation apart from simply adding oil to bring the level to the bottom cold segment of the dip stick. Any help would be of assistance. I checked it when the engine was cold and the level did not reach the dip stick. Thanks.
When the engine was up to full temp (over 180F) I checked the level again and found it holding on the cold marker. About an inch down the dip stick from full mark.
Well from all the responses I got so far to my questions I will simply go ahead and top up the cannister as though I was tiopping off the windscreen washer.
OK Mark you can remove this thread if thats ok with you.
I don't know what a hydraulcoil is. Did a google search and came up with this....
http://www.hydrocoilpower.com/
Didn't know our cars at a water turbine.
I would think just topping it off would be fine.
So to answer Thequestion open the cap pour in oil to correct level for current temperature, close cap, drive car, monitor oil level to be sure it holds the correct level. IE: no leaks etc...
If level drops and no leaks noted up front or under car....suspect clutch accumulator is filling up. If clutch is moderate to hard on cold start, accumulator (997 updated PN)
Thanks guys. It says on the filler cap Hydraulicoil (no spaces). Followed by Pentosin CHF 11S which I have on order coming thursday.
Anyway the Germans know how to spell better than we do. There are big changes on the way so you had better get ready for it.
The European Commission has just announced an agreement whereby English will
be the official language of the EU rather than German, which was the other
possibility.
.As part of the negotiation, the British government conceded that
English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a five year
phase-in plan that would be known as Euro-English.
In the first year the soft "c" will be replaced. Sertainly, this will make the
sivil servants jump with joy. The hard "c" will be dropped in favour of the "k"
This should klear up konfusion and keyboards can have one letter less.
There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year when the troublesom
"ph" will be replased by the "f". this wil make words like "fotograf" 20per sent
shorter. In the third year publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be expekted
to reach the stage where more komplikated changes are possible.
Governments will enkorage the removal of double leters which have always ben a
deterent to akurate speling. Also, al wil agre that the horible mes of the
silent "e" in the languag is disgraseful and should be don away with.
By the fourth yer peopl wil be reseptiv to steps such as replasing "th" wit "z"
and "w"wit "v".During ze fifz yer ze uneserary "o" can be dropd from Vords
kontaining "ou" and similar changs vud of kors be aplid to ozer Kombinatins
of leters. After zi fifz yer, ve vil hav a reli sensibil riten. Zer vil be
no mor trubl or difikultis and evevun vil find it ezi tu onderstand ech ozer
Ze drem vil finaly kum tru.. ZEIG HEIL hehe

that's pretty funny! what's the airspeed of an english sparrow with a coconut in it's feet? grasped by the husks?
(monty python..in case i got the whole thing wrong)
Hey Hurdi, some responses were hilarious but seriously;
The PS reservoir does not hold much. Make sure yours is the pretty green stuff. The Pentosin fluid is indeed referred to as hydraulic fluid.
"Pentosin - Hydraulic System Fluid
Part # CHF11S"
You can also get it at Oreillys. I have plenty of this stuff and would give it to you if you were closer. You wanna do a complete PS flush whle your at it?
OK Ken/Kev/ I would like to change the PS fluid as you suggest. Have you done it? If so is it easy enough DIY work?
Is there a DIY film on youtube or explanation on how to complete the job? The system probably holds more than a ltr can which is coming tomorrow. Right? And I saw when ordering the fluid on the net that other people when ordering had ordered some kind of a pump thingy along with the fluid. I bet that's needed for a complete change. Right? I will have a look around right now. Thanks
Been searching KrazyK and found one page where you deleted a few postings from.

Apparenty you had pictures of a PS fluid change. Any chance you could post the pictures with instructions for me. Thanks again. BTW I requested a friendship with you today. Hopefully we can be friends/mates.
OK Doug and Krazy K I used the turkey baster on the PS canister. Stuff coming out was black. Did it about 5/6 times (driving after each refill) until the stuff coming out was green as it should be and as we say in the UK."Jobs a goodun" Thanks for the advice.
Hurdi, yes thats another way to do it by diluting the old fluid but I dont know if it gets it all out or if it even matters (unless contaminated). I will repost the full flush I did on Renntech using a vacuum tank and disconnecting the lines. The whole system holds about 1.5 liters if I remember right.
Thanks K but I will leave well alone now. It probably took 3/4 of a litre can and was showing green again so I will leave it like that. Thanks again K for all your help. Funnily enough I have been working on my Radio Control Sprint 2 Turbo Porsche and can you believe I had more trouble repairing that than anything I have done on the real car up to now. Broken steering linkage and drive shaft to one wheel. Fiddling farting little things they are but all repaired and running at well over 30mph again. Theres no rest for the wicked is there haha.
