Suggestion · Original poster

The idea is to put the more aggressive (initially) pad in the rear in order to dial out a bit of the factory-set strong front braking bias.

Yeah, but the best benefits come from R comps and F&R and track alignment - BUT if you feel that you could use more rear bias - certainly go for it - !

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm thinking of following the advice in this thread and installing Hawk DTC70s in the rears and DTC60s in the fronts for use (only) on the track. The idea is to put the more aggressive (initially) pad in the rear in order to dial out a bit of the factory-set strong front braking bias. Does anyone think this is a really bad idea?

POST 2Original post

Im going to use the Pagid yellow/black combo at Sebring and see if I notice a difference. I doubt I will but no reason to think it is a "bad" idea. Ive only used yellows so far.

POST 3Original post

Yellow/Back is quite popular now - adds more rear bias for those who run Rs and track alignment - imnproved trail braking. In stock and ready.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Craig, will this combination also work with street tires and a stock alignment?

POST 5Original post

Yeah, but the best benefits come from R comps and F&R and track alignment - BUT if you feel that you could use more rear bias - certainly go for it - !

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks guys. I'll give it a shot and see how this set up works on my car.
