My first thought is you have the wrong hub, obviously it fits over the spline, but every momo hub I have ever used bolted up without adding a spacer.

When I slide the momo hub onto the spline and tighten the nut, I run out of thread, yet there is still about 1/4" gap between the nut and the hub, meaning there is some play.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey guys, I just have a quick question about installing the cup car wheel and hub. When I slide the momo hub onto the spline and tighten the nut, I run out of thread, yet there is still about 1/4" gap between the nut and the hub, meaning there is some play. Did you guys use a spacer behind the spline nut? Here is the kit that I bought: http://www.ebay.com/itm/390368328885...84.m1497.l2649 I was told that it would include everything needed to install it in my 996, but I guess that's not the case....... Knowing myself I've probably left something out lol. Any help would be appreciated.....
