This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I have what appear to be smoked side markers, and I think they don't really go with my silver car - make it look like there is a hole where the amber light should be.
Anyone with clear markers want to trade?
i understand your problem, had the pumpkins, hideous to me, Ordered some smokes, on a white car - black hole, then ordered some clears. Look much better on cars of our contrast IMO. Good luck, maybe throw them up on Ebay......
I think the smoked draw as much attention as the amber on my car. The whole point of getting rid of the amber was to get markers that blend in with the lines of the car to make it more seamless, etc. Smoked don't do that.
I thought so too. Here's an ebay auction for crystal clear (I just grabbed one so don't ask me about the seller). But it has a good picture of them:

Good observation but I wasn't really paying that much attention when I did a 'basic' search for clear side porsche on ebay. Several auctions popped-up and I just chose one knowing that they do make crystal clear for 996. It was just a response to your mentioning they only make one type and they are smoked, and that was incorrect, you did not mention anything about them having to be OEM in your post.
I'll pay a bit more attention next time OK
A bit testy I am today OK
BTW, the clear lenses I bought on eBay turned out to be total JUNK! I guess I'll just keep the smoked Porsche lenses and get used to them (unless someone knows where they sell Porsche clear lenses).
