Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just had my baby in for a look over by the car hospital. His doctor operated and only had to replace rear brake pads. Porsche and owner are both feeling much better now. On the bottom of his discharge papers was the note: Tread remaining - 7mm front, 6mm rear. Could anyone tell me what this means. Are the 80% or 50% or . . . The tires are 18" Bridgestone Potenza Reosoa's. Thanks in advance for any kind help.

POST 2Original post

Jim - Did you mean that the tires are Potenza RE050A? If so, the tread depth on those tires when new are 10/32 inch or 8mm. So it sounds like you have 87.5% tread remaining on the front tires and 75% tread remaining on the rear tires. As usual, your mileage may vary.... without expressed written concent is prohibited... no warranty is expressed or implied.... and all of that other happy horse **** the lawyers write.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

You are of course right about the name. Blame the misprint on old eyes and a dark garage. Baby was resting after his trauma! Thanks so much for the info. You're a champ!
