Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

As it says above I am wanting to do this install myself but would like to have a guide just to be safe. I have put a few clutches in before but never touched a porsche powerplant before. If you have something to share please post up or send to [email removed] Thanks, Mike

POST 2Original post

Do a search on RMS, I know that there was a very detailed DIY on this with pictures, etc. As part of this you have to remove the clutch. You mihgth check on Renntech.org and 6 speed too.

POST 3Original post

Here is a detailed instruction. Just disregard the RMS part. Why this write up is on an Honda/Acura Tech site instead of here, I have no idea. http://www.c-speedracing.com/howto/996rms/rms1.php Andy

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

thanks a ton.. I just need to decide if I want to do it or pay for it. I have a shop that will replace with a SPEC stage 1 clutch kit (no flywheel) and RMS having a porsche tech over see it for 1100.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
