Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Here is a weird problem, if I turn off my C4S with the Bose playing a CD from the changer, and then restart the car after 15 or so min, the stereo will only play from the CD changer, the AM,FM and single CD do not work. I have to turn off the car for 12 hours, then it resets and works Ok The dealer has changed the amplifier, CD changer and radio itself and it still does it! any thoughts?

POST 2Original post

it's a ghost........ if you look around some people have this problem,,,, i did..... i ultimately changed out to an alpine unit with focal speakers...... ghost are gone........ good luck though

POST 3Original post

sounds like its in the radio which controls all the other equipment. Another guess would be the power going to the radio is being broken somewhere and that is messing up the radios logic. that could be checked by putting a volt meter in line with the constant 12 V wire and one in line with the ignition 12 V wire and see if they are breaking some times. Otherwise its in the radio.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

problem solved! it took 5 days in the service dept, but they finally found a loose connection in the fiber optic system, fixed this and now the radio works correctly!
