2 questions for P21S Concours wax users

Hi All, I have been a Blitz user for 5 years and just tried Concours.. WOW a very noticible difference in shine. I have 2 questions: How long do you leave it on before buffing off? And how well does it protect from water spotting and beading, in other words how long does it last. I know Blitz does a wonderful job , BUT, leaves white residue everywhere. Thanks

Used it for the first time 5 weeks ago, so can't really answer question 2 except to say it's still beading perfectly at this time. As for question 1, I used very little wax and did about 2'x2' sections at a time, 'buffing' immediately after getting the wax down. I didn't allow the wax to haze over at all as suggested by the instructions. That along with the non-staining properties of the wax made it really easy to apply.

I buff almost as soon as I apply the wax, I usually wax one body panel at a time. It will last a good 2-3 months between applications in my experience (on a Silver car).

I used it six weeks ago (wipe on and wipe off immediately) and it still beads like I did it yesterday. It's a great shine on an ocean blue car.

Which vendor do you guys use to get this stuff?? So, this is just a 1 step application, not multi-step like the zaino waxes? Any of you use the zaino that have also use the p21 stuff?

The P21 S is actually a 2 step job the first time, as you apply the P21S Paintwork cleanser prior to the wax application. But you will only need to preconditioning every few months per the directions, typically I do it every other application or as needed. I live in dirty Houston after all. I used to use Zaino for the first year I had the car, bottom line nothing beats the shine, except P21S, but Zaino is such a hassle. It's a hassle to apply, with all the steps and it's even a hassle to purchase (Sal only takes checks, no on line or credit cards!!). Talk about circa 1977 jeez...

I bought it online from carcareonline.com. I bought the 'P21S Car Care Collection' which has the wash, polish, wax, wheel cleaner and assorted applicators in a carrying case --I guess that's for if you ever have a car washing emergency and need to take your supplies with you or something. There are several other places that sell it online, although the price is pretty much the same everywhere maybe varying by a buck or two. Just make sure you check shipping costs where ever you order from. Some S/H charges at these places are pretty ridiculous.

I've been using P21S Paint Cleaner and Carnauba for years. I find it goes on easy, comes off easy, and leaves a tremendous shine for months. Paint Cleaner is only needed if the paint has some problems. I do a panel at a time. When I'm done with the whole car I use detailer spray to give me a fabulous final finish!

DJ 996 Just a note Zaino does take credit cards now. My question is simply is there anyone that has used both P21S and Zaino that can give us their opinion? I have used Blitz and feel Zaino is much better. However, I have not used P21S yet.....Your thoughts

Gray Carrera, Glad to hear Sal has joined the 21st century with their ordering process For your question, I think the shine is pretty equal between Zaino and P21S, Zaino looks a little more glossy and P21 perhaps a bit deeper "show room shine" if you will. These observations are very subjective, it's really hard to see any significant difference between the two. P21 is definitely easier to apply and a little cheaper too. Try the P21S.
