Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
If there is one mod that you could go for out of the chute, I'd recommend suspension upgrades.
Leading evidence: 'Recommend suspension upgrades' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Recommend suspension upgrades' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Just got back from the dealership and placed an order for an 04 carrera coupe. The salesman told me they are going to try and change one they have in the system to my specs and make it a nov build. Realistically, when do you guys think I'll be getting mine? Here are the options I ordered, anything I missed?
bi xenons
paint to sample Ferrari Fly Yellow
aluminum look small
leather sport seats
aluminum dials
gt3 wheels
colored wheel crests
rear console painted exterior color
Porsche crest in headrest
alum lthr shifter/ brake handle
deviated stitching
rear spoiler
self dim mirrors/rain sensing wipers
I originally wanted to get the sport technos, but those werent available, so we're going to try for the gt3 look wheels. If those arent available, I'm going to get the turbo look II wheels. I was also surprised to see on the order list that the deviated stitching went up in price this year to $490. Anyways, let me know what you guys think..
Thanks,
Ed
It seems that you have ordered some appearance oriented options. You may want to consider the full leather package. If you don't you will get a car with a very cheap looking plastic dash and door panels.
I was considering that option, but one of my friends has a boxster with that and it peeled back on the dash. I figured that living in Fl and since I'm going to be using it as a daily driver, I was safer with the stock dash...

If there is one mod that you could go for out of the chute, I'd recommend suspension upgrades. Personally, I would get a little seat time in the car prior to going out and dropping a bunch of $$ on performance mods. See what you feel will best suit your driving style/frequency.
Go for the full leather interior. The peeling issue seems to be relativley infrequent, and is a warranty item if it occurs. Are you sure that they will be able to process a paint to sample car in a couple of months (the build itself only taking a week or so)? I have heard more than one horror story about delays associated w/ this and other "to sample" options.
If you are going w/ yellow deviating stitching w/ all of that interior aluminum look, you may want to revisit that. The tones seem kinda at odds w/ each other. Best of luck!

NYSE...
Did you get PSM for it? As drafting said, if the leather dash bubbles they'll fix it under warranty, so get it. If you have the doh! you might consider X51, more hp. If you're considering fabspeeds, you may as well get PSE, and stay with the OEM.
PSM a must. Porsche Sport Exhaust is a great option, and controllable (on/off) from drivers seat. Automatic cut-out can be fixed easily by dealer. 030 suspension option a good idea, better handling w/ little ride tradeoff, particularly as you're in FL where the roads are, in general, in better shape.
I just called the dealer and added full leather and 030 option. That's one that totally slipped my mind when ordering. From what they were telling me, they were going to try and change one of the ones that were already on order for dealer stock and add my specs to it... I'm not worried about the wait, as long as it's not too ridiculous...
Thanks,
Ed
agreed with MJones. why don't u just get the speed yellow? it'll save u much wait time.
also get the sport exhaust. u'll be happy with it. to me OEM stuff is always better & it's a lot cheaper ordered with the car.
by the way, why don't u get a C4S instead? just a thought
Yes the paint to sample will add 3-6 months in addition of the normal 3 mo wait on an ordered.
You will see the car sometime between March and June of '04
