Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Actually those wheels are inexpensive, I have set for my winter tires, $750 including lugs and spacer & shipped.

Suspected cause
I suspect the front end was re-sprayed just for rock chips, but you could see where they tried to blend the clear coat about halfway up the hood.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I'm going to call Mecum tomorrow and see if it's still available. Wonder what's wrong with it to not get a bid past $18k?
I noticed it's not up for auction in Kissimmee next month.
Depending on mileage/condition, $18k sounds about right, maybe even a little high. I could see it bringing more if it were at a dealer where a buyer could do a proper PPI.
I saw it there. Front bumper and front half of the hood had been re sprayed. Don't know why they didn't re spray the entire hood. I didn't care for the aftermarket wheels on it. Also it is basalt black, which I think you either love or hate. Looks dark brown in certain light. That being said I thought it was a good buy if you got it under $20k. It's not really a European car crowd at the kc auction. Don't forget the huge buyer's premium. A $20k bid will end up being a $22k purchase price.
In case I wasn't clear above, this is a beautiful car. The interior is stunning - I love that interior color and goes perfectly with the basalt black exterior. Overall the condition was very nice. I suspect the front end was re-sprayed just for rock chips, but you could see where they tried to blend the clear coat about halfway up the hood. That blend line might buff out. The wheels are probably pretty expensive - just not my cup of tea. If you could find the seller once the auction listing expires (whenever that is) and offer $20k without having to pay the buyers premium (and the seller not having to pay the commission), then I'll bet you could get a deal done.
Actually, after looking at the auction photo again, there is a local Indy dealer who always uses that wall for the backdrop for his cars. Let me see if I can verify.
I'm with ya. Thanks for all the info. No chance you got a peak at the odometer is there?
I like both the interior and exterior but think the wheels are too small. OE turbo wheels would be fine and sell the units currently on the car.
If I remember correctly, I think it had about 70,000 miles, but it could have been a bit higher. I just remember thinking $20,000 would be about right, despite the wheels and the hood clearcoat issue. I don't remember it being remarkably high or remarkably low miles, but again, I could be wrong.
I've looked around on craigslist to try to find the name of the dealer by looking for that wall. He's a one-man shop in the south KC/Grandview area, I think with a small warehouse back behind Truman Corners. He generally deals with older European cars, so if you browse craigslist looking at ads for BMWs, Porsches, Audis, Volvos, Jaguars, you'll see a picture with that wall in the background. That wall is the side of the warehouse where he operates out of. Fair warning, I remember being interested in a car he had a few years ago and when I searched online I saw quite a few complaints (but also a couple of compliments) about his business practices. Mainly, the reviewers were saying don't expect any kind of customer service or warranty when you buy from him - basically like buying from an individual.
Are you speaking of the issues discussed herein or others you know of? I'm all about getting what you pay for; however, I see private sellers and dealers typically are double what Kelley Blue Book etc. says the car is worth. In my zip code, S. Florida a 60k mile unit is in the $15k range, here owners are asking $30k.
Kelley Blue Book is way off on these cars, seemingly all over the country. Edmunds was a much better guide for me. That car looks sweet, and if you are not crazy about the wheels (look fine to me) they would make a great winter mounting set.
