Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

13 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Generation: 20261026T225432Z · outcome-qualification-6. Deterministic extraction; no AI model inference. How we use sources

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Been a Porsche owner since 1997 (944, Boxster, 924S), and finally picked up a 911. Got this for $18,000 The seller and his wife inherited it from her brother. I don't know the details, but he passed away earlier than one should. 82,000 miles The seller just had the clutch, RMS, and IMS bearing replaced (the latter with LN bearing). PSM and Litronic headlamps, among other options. Merry Christmas to me! Mark

POST 2Original post

Congrats ! You'll love this one better that the rest !

POST 3Original post

Congratulations!!! I'd say welcome to RL but it doesn't apply. Welcome to 996 ownership, it's fun. I'm sure you'll have lots of useful info to contribute! DS

POST 4Original post

Nice acquisition Mark. The 996's are great Porsche's and can be purchased reasonably. Enjoy.

Hopefully, his demise wasn't caused by sticker shock when he found out what the clutch, RMS, and IMS bearing were going to cost Seriously, looks like you got a great deal on a nice car ... congratulations!

POST 7Original post

Welcome. Great looking car. I like the black, obviously. I think you will find the 996 an amazing car. I look forward to each drive. Never fails to entertain me.

POST 8Original post

Time does fly...perhaps a little faster with P-Car ownership

POST 9Original post

Congrats and welcome. You'll notice right away that black is the fastest.

POST 10Original post

Good catch Mark ! If I were the PO I would be happy she is with a fellow Porschephile.

POST 11Original post

If you are used to 924/944 timing belt/water pump maintenance costs the 996 won't phase you a bit. I have found my 996 to be less expensive to maintain than previous 944s and 968s. And a hell of a lot faster.

POST 12Original post

Congratulations on your first 911!! It's a beauty Mark
