Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
I'm sure there's some basis, but for the life of me I don't know why you'd want to "lubricate" it with an alcohol mixture.
Leading evidence: 'Lubricate " it' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Lubricate " it' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.

Suggestion
For future note: You can use antifreeze on the shock pistons if there is some reason you need to lubricate them, such as for long storage on jacks.
Use propylene glycol antifreeze there might be some basis

I guess if you were using a propylene glycol antifreeze there might be some basis....
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

... leaving my car on the jack stands for a week or two?
Want to do some work on it, clean it, paint top hats and calipers, etc., but will be traveling a bit as well. Don't feel like taking it off the stands in between travels.
Any issues with leaving it on?
this lets suspension droop and can expose the shock shafts to air and contamination by dust and even corrosion. When car lowered the dirty/corroded portion of the shock shafts damage the shock seals and then the shocks need to be rebuilt or replaced.
A week or so shouldn't matter, provided car not in a dusty or extremely humid/corrosive (sea shore nearby) environment.
If the shock shafts are indeed exposed when car on jack stands, not sure what I'd use, but if you could find a suitable protectant to spray -- vegetable oil spray? -- on the exposed metal rods that wouldn't damage the rubber gaters or other nonmetal or painted parts it may come in contact with then just before you lower car down wipe this protectant coating away.
Maybe. Maybe not worth the trouble. For a week or so I don't think it would be a problem. I'm sure in Porsche dealerships cars are lifted up by body lift points and the suspensioni droops and remains that way for several days, maybe a week with no harm.
Sincerely,
Macster.
For future note: You can use antifreeze on the shock pistons if there is some reason you need to lubricate them, such as for long storage on jacks. (which I do NOT ever recommend doing)
Can you explain the logic behind this recommendation? I'm sure there's some basis, but for the life of me I don't know why you'd want to "lubricate" it with an alcohol mixture. I guess if you were using a propylene glycol antifreeze there might be some basis....
Seems like a light oil would be a much better suggestion.
