Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Any of you guys done it? Is it as easy as the Renntech directions make it sound? Any words of wisdom or caution you might share? It's my project for tomorrow or Thursday as it's easier than looking for a job with a much better success ratio!

POST 2Original post

as long as you've got the right big-*** wrench it's cake. 20 minutes max including taking out the air box and getting it back in. Andy

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yes. 24mm. Is it easier w/a wrench or a socket?

POST 5Original post

Whatever the RennTech write-up says. Couldn't remember if it was a wrench of socket. Knew I had to borrow it from my buddy because I didn't havce one.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

All done! Yes, that was pretty easy. Probably would have been easier if I had put the belt in the house overnight to warm it it. I had to get a neighbor to stretch it over the final pulley as I turned the tensioner. The old belt looked very good but the squeeking I was hearing disappeared with the new belt. Anyway, 30 minute job.

POST 7Original post

Check the tensioner rollers, ones with mileage tend to be noisy and require replacing. If one is noisy, replace all three.

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

How easy are the tensioner rollers to replace?

POST 10Original post

Very easy, all the fasteners are accessible, just nuts and bolts.
