Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion

The key itself I paid almost $200 for the convenience of having it done that day and there, however I did check with Suncoast, they'll sell you just the head for under $130, and it will come with a tag which your dealer can then use to program to the car.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

GOT ONE, THANKS Need one like this, mine is Dead... But i need one with the Programing Tag, that has the Programing Code on it, like a Bar Code... Without this Bar Code, Programing cannot be done via the Dealer... Please see Pic

POST 2Original post

Is there a reason to avoid your dealer or Suncoast or the like? Suncoast had it for under $130 last I checked...

POST 3Original post

I have one with the RFID capsule, but I have no bar code anywhere on the head or bits. Why would they need this? The brand new 'Design' head I bought did not have the bar code. All they will do is align the key to the car I think. Let me know if you are interested

POST 4Original post

Where are you supposed to get this barcode from? It apparently is not included with the new heads. Sorry for having more questions than answers

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 7165279

If you look at the Pic in the First Post, the Bar Code comes with a NEW Key Head attached via a String with the Part Number on it, the Numbers are Blurred

POST 6Original post

Zookie, I don't follow your response to my post? My new keyhead (purchased and programmed at the dealer) did come with a new tag. The key itself I paid almost $200 for the convenience of having it done that day and there, however I did check with Suncoast, they'll sell you just the head for under $130, and it will come with a tag which your dealer can then use to program to the car. I have literally dozens of keyheads with with working transmitters, and the pill, but w/out the barcode, which can NOT be programmed to operate the remote function, but can be programmed to start the car.
