Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I found these 18" BBS RE wheels that look pretty nice. I'm looking for some to use on the track. They are 8.5X18 fronts with 56 mm offset and the rears are 10X18 with 65mm offsets. I think they will fit good on my 2000 996. They are supposed to be pretty lightweight . Tire Rack has them for about $2,800. The seller is asking $2,000. for them with some used MPS Cups on them. What do you guys think? Good wheels, good price? What should I offer him If I decide to buy them? Thanks.

POST 3Original post

I think they are good wheels, I have the RS-GT's

POST 4Original post

kirbmiester... any pictures of that car with those wheels on the track?

POST 5Original post

never seen RE's on a 996, but you can't go wrong with light-weight BBS's. Their quality is almost guaranteed and many members can testify on that. And at $2k with tires (if the rims are in good condition) that is a good deal.

POST 6Original post

Going sideways or straight? Here's one of both...

POST 7Original post

I had them on my 996 they didn't fit after I added my pss9's. Even before then they produced a lot of bumpsteer and made the car a pita to drive as hard as I do. It's a shame because I really liked the look of them on the car, but performance is worth more to me.

POST 8Original post

Kirb, where is you rear wing in the slip-sliding pics?
