I believe it had an oil change back in January but I checked tonight and it looks like it could use a change.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

33 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 1 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My new (to me) C4S finally arrived last night after months of searching and then weeks of waiting for it to get here. I'm as happy as a hyperactive kid in a pool of red koolaid. The car is a 2002 C4S, silver / black, sport seats, bose, xenons, and only 9,400 miles!! I still can't get over the immaculate condition it is in. It really is like it was in a time capsule. Below are some pics I snapped with my cell phone when it was coming off the truck, but I'll get some better ones with my SLR this weekend and post up.

POST 2Original post

Congrats on the new ride...look forward to more pics.

POST 3Original post

congrats on your ride! Please post your SLR pictures when you have a chance!

POST 7Original post

Wow, that's less than 1.500 miles / year! real time-warp ! Congrats! Enjoy the ride.

POST 8Original post

Excellent P-car example! Congrats and welcome to Rennlist. You'll learn a lot about these cars here.

I have an '04 C4S with 2800 miles - that's either a time warp or a personal mind warp. Don't do the math - it's embarrassing.

POST 10Original post

Great choice, and such low miles. You and Phil will be in competition to see who drives the most. Welcome to a forum with plenty of info, humor, and ways to spend 'your' $.

POST 11Original post

Good for you! Enjoy it to the max!!!!!!!! You'll laugh at yourself for the excuses you will find to drive it! Pete

POST 12Original post

congrats on your C4S. I have an 02 C4S as well. It's the best 996 in my opinion but I'm a little biased.

POST 14Original post

Very nice ride. I bet it's like brand new. Enjoy it!!

POST 15 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone! Went out for a nice long drive last night - I'm loving this car more and more. Who do I talk to about getting a RL membership? Will be taking lots of pics this weekend Cheers!

POST 17Original post

There is simply no way around it. the c4S is the best looking 996, and one of the best looking 911's ever assembled.

POST 18Original post

Congrats. I just got my 2002 C4S about a month ago, and I still open the garage door to stare at it. Its an awesome maching that certainly deserves some miles put on it!

POST 21Original post

Congrads! and WOW, I thought mine had low miles (27K) when I bought it a few months ago

POST 22Original post

Shouldn't that be "who drives the least"? Welcome to the board. Great looking car.

POST 23Original post

Ditto. It's a beauty! Enjoy! Mine had 13908 miles when I bought her last May. 21100 on her now. These cars are meant to enjoy by driving them!

POST 25Original post

Nice car. Just got mine a few months ago. Enjoy!!

POST 26Original post

dang. I'd go drive the hell out of it. I sure hope it didn't sit for long w/o oil changes. they're great cars. 74K miles on my '03.

POST 27 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Not sure if I'm going to get too crazy with mods at the moment. Bank account is a bit depleted at the mo' but I may pick up some springs and drop it a touch. Clear corners are on the list too as are aluminum gauge faceplates... it's going to be a slippery slope methinks. I believe it had an oil change back in January but I checked tonight and it looks like it could use a change. Levels are good though. Its days of being a garage queen are certainly over - I am constantly looking for excuses to drive the thing. Looking forward to driving it out to the mountains and carving some roads up this weekend. Will be shooting some proper pics on Sunday as well, so stay tuned! Cheers!

POST 28Original post

I've got 66k on my '04. Same color and seats. Drive it like it's stolen!!

POST 29Original post

Alberta plates! Whoa! You in Calgary or Edmonton? I use to own 911's in Edmonton, stuck out like a sore thumb...

POST 31Original post

Congrats!! 9000 miles- like brand new! Enjoy! John

POST 32Original post

Congrats!! She's a beauty! The mods are a slippery slope indeed but one helluva ride!!!

POST 33Original post

Looks beautiful. Congrats, and enjoy in good health!
