Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Also, should I have an alignment done right away, or let the M030 'adjust' and settle for a day or two?
Leading evidence: 'Adjust ' and settle' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Adjust ' and settle' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. You HAVE to get an alignment done when the suspension is done, think about what is being done to R&R this setup......there is NO WAY to hold the alignment geometry in check especially with a lowered ride height.

If it will remove the floaty sensation, then I will be very happy with the change.I'll do the alignment right away.

The airbag is due in another week, so I'll have to wait before I change wheels.

I honestly don't know how many miles are on the set I purchased...guess I should have asked that question. My 'stock' suspension had 42K miles and still had plenty of life left, but I was hoping to improve overall car handling and feel.I'll post results after alignment.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Dropped off my 996 at an indy this am to swap out my stock suspension for a M030 I purchased from a fellow Rennlister a couple of months back.Looking forward to a slightly stiffer ride and improved handling. Will my ride height drop a little or remain the same as stock? Also, should I have an alignment done right away, or let the M030 'adjust' and settle for a day or two? Thanks for any feedback. My next improvement will be swapping out my current 4 spoke steering wheel for a 3 spoke. The airbag is due in another week, so I'll have to wait before I change wheels.
It's not going to feel "stiffer" than before. Instead you will feel more stable and less "floaty". I found the ride actually more comfortable and proper in my CAB. The ride height also will drop ONLY if you got the RoWM030 and NOT the USM030.
As far as alignment. You HAVE to get an alignment done when the suspension is done, think about what is being done to R&R this setup......there is NO WAY to hold the alignment geometry in check especially with a lowered ride height. FYI...It's not going to "settle" in a day or two.
Thanks Dell for the info., maybe stiffer was not the correct description. If it will remove the floaty sensation, then I will be very happy with the change.I'll do the alignment right away. Thanks.
Very welcome. I think you will be pleased with the results (granted the set you bought didn't have a ton of miles on it). WIth this setup and a proper alignment, you'll be carving up the twisty's!
I think you'll love the new set-up. As for the ride, I agree with Dell that it's probably more comfortable - even after just driving from Vegas to Delaware!
My RoW did settle slightly over a period of a couple of months, but the original alignment I had done with the installation was still true six months later.

Please keep us posted as to ride quality. Is your new one ROW or US? Interested myself. Also, what year is your car? The 2002+ have a different (stiffer) standard suspension.
It's a 99 996 with 42k miles. I couldn't pick it up tonight, so hopefully I'll be able to tell tomorrow if there are major or minor changes to the handling, cornering etc. Based on prior posts it should be an improvement over stock.
You will be more than pleased. I upgraded to the ROW M030 suspension a couple months ago and still that have ****-eating-grin every time I get behind the wheel of the car. No more floatiness, dynamic reponsive handling, and the compression dampening seems vastly improved with the stiffer springs.
